Join our amazing team at the Intergenerational Learning Center in Eagan, MN and make a difference in children’s lives!  Our educational philosophy supports the whole child concept of development. We believe in offering care and protection within an educationally challenging and richly prepared environment that will meet the needs of each child.  We are looking for someone that loves children and is comfortable in the kitchen!  In this role, you will help prepare the catered - in lunch meals for the classrooms, wash the dishes, maintain the kitchen cleanliness, and cook/ bake some food items for the next day or for afternoon snack.  This is an awesome part time opportunity for someone who is looking to work Monday - Friday from approximately 9am until 2pm.  The Intergenerational Learning Center is a part of the Intergenerational Living & Health Care, a nonprofit organization that offers interactive programs for children and seniors and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and older adults.  The mission includes:

  • For seniors, we provide housing, health care, programming, services, and interactions between the generations

  • For youth, we enhance learning opportunities and responsible choices by educating the whole child, including interactions with seniors

  • For the community, we promote understanding and support between the generations

Job Requirements

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.  Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, children, families, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.  . Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, children, and families.

Education and Experience

Serv Safe required, but this can be obtained within first few weeks of employment and facility will pay!

Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures.
